Note for: Maureen Lynn Guthrie, 20 APR 1962 -

Event: Type: Fact 1
Place: Exceptionally fine artist with color pencil & ink
Individual Note: My daughter-in-Law Maureen Lynn Guthrie was Born in 1962. She attended school here in Orange and played in the Junior High and High School bands with all three of my children. It did not take long for my son Darrel to notice her. by the time they were in High School he had his sites set on the girl he wanted for life. Maureen is a very good mother as well as a strong Christian. Maureen once stood in line for several days to get her child Ryan into a special school in Corona. She has worked in the retail business as a clerk and is also a very talented artist. Her specialty in the artist world is etchings. She is a animal lover and when my own daughter received her doctorate in veterinarian medicine she asked Maureen to paint her two Pomeranian Dogs. Maureen's two renditions of these dogs hangs on my daughter's wall in her home today, but it is my opinion that they would catch the eye in any Gallery in this country. They are stunning. Since moving to Omaha in 1995 she has largely devoted herself to raising her two boys. She is also a very good writer writing both fiction and non non-fiction. She has provided write ups and data for this genealogy study for the Guthrie side of my son's family. She maintains an Email correspondence with me to provide information between our families. I rarely hear from my son by Email but I usually get about 1 Email a week from Maureen and I always enjoy her beautiful sense of humor.
