Individual Note: Costello Page Massey was known as CP and was a Lieutenant in the US Navy and attended the U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis. He was killed in the Battle of Savo Island during the landings Guadalcanal at during the early morning of Aug 8, 1942.

Individual Note: Ray Fritts, 81, Dies Following Long Illness
Raymond O. Fritts Sr., 81, a retired railroad employee died late Monday in Memorial Hospital following a seven month illness. He was born April 25, 1890 in Sterling, Neb. And was reared at Lincoln Neb., where his parents had a farm. He entered the U. S. Army during World War I. Following his discharge from the Army in 1919 he took up a homestead north of Douglas and in 1920 he moved to Casper. He married Ruth E. Cross in Achison Kan., Oct 31, 1921, and they made their home in Casper. He was employed by the North Western Railroad for 37 years and during this time he was a mail contractor for local and star routes. He retired from the railroad in 1957. Fritts was a 50 year member of the American Legion, George W. Vroman Post No. 1 and The First Presbyterian Church of Casper. Survivors included the widow of the family home at 1026 South Jackson; two sons, Ray O. Jr. of Casper and Darrel E. of Orange, Calif., two daughters, Mrs Gus (JoEva) Benardis of Casper and Mrs Clyde (Doris) Elliott of Kerrville, Tex.; 12 grandchildren; one great grandchild and one sister, Mrs Bertha Walters in Debary Fla. Services are tentatively planned at 11 a.m.. Friday. The Bustard Funeral is in charge of the arrangements.
