I first met Ken in 1960 when I joined the Casper Troopers Drum and Bugle Corps. We both played baritone bugle for the three years I was in the corps. We both played trombone as well and played in many of Casper's other musical groups like the Casper Civic Symphony and The Casper City Band.Ken flew his Mooney 201 down from Bremerton during the Forth of July weekend in 2000 to see the Casper Troopers compete in the Pacific Procession contest in San Jose. On the Sunday after the contest, we joined Cathy Jones and her husband Bob on board the aircraft carrier Hornet in Alameda. Ken flew the A6 Intruder while a Navy aviator in the early 1970s and told many stories of life on an aircraft carrier.
