Here I am making new friends 40 miles west of Peshawar on the famed Khyber Pass on the Afganistan border.   Passage by van west from Peshawar is arranged only with an excort of the  local Afridi Tribesmen.

The Afganistan border is three miles west of the top of the Khyber pass.
