A few scenes while traveling through the USSR
When the train stopped in Omsk, I made friends with the Russian Army and Navy.
In 1987 Lenin's picture was everywhere including where the sheets and pillow cases were stored. I called it the "Lenin Closet".
Lake Baikal is the largest fresh water lake in the world. It is clean and clear and has hydrofoils that go 60 miles per hour. Notice the wind in my hair. |
